Greg Patch, the artist behind www.GreenArtStudio.com, not only creates paintings that are visually healing and beautiful, but he works in a medium that helps to create a healthy environment.

Most paintings and paints are composed of many toxic chemicals (like formaldehyde), petro-oils, plastics, heavy metals, preservatives and fungicides. All of these materials produce off-gassing that increase the toxicity of the environment in which they are manufactured and displayed.

The pine trees that “make” the photo are currently threatened by pine beetle infestations in Colorado and other western states.  The tell-tale patches of rust-colored trees are taking over the evergreen landscapes of the Rocky Mountains.
